...of Prisoners Of Gravity host Rick Green in an attempted style of Jack Kirby.

This is the Jack Kirby episode of the fantastic 'Prisoners of Gravity' which was made by Canadian Public Broadcasting and hosted by TV pirate Commander Rick (Rick Green). The thing I take most from Kirby interviews is just how positive and forward thinking his attitude to superhero comics was and how in hindsight it shows how stunted the genre is today.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, TORCHWOOD with a Budget...

When the initial fanboy frenzy settles I'm going to predict that Marvel's super hyped TV show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D will be nothing more than (the Dr. Who spin off) Torchwood (which it seems to share a similar premise) with a significantly larger budget.

In true internet style I'm making this prediction having only seen a trailer, why, why not. The show looks like it might be a bit of fun but I've got a feeling it'll only be the promise of regular cameos from characters from the Marvel universe rather than the shows own merits that keep the fans watching.

Still it could be worse, it could turn out to be the next Primeval...ooft!

I could watch documentaries on Jack Kirby from dusrk till dawn and always get a kick out of them.
One of the great artist of the 20th Century regardless of the artistic medium....

That's it I give up and admit defeat Marvel (this gose for DC and it's New 52) to me at least, is dead i just don't get the 'Superhero' genre any more or mabey what's worse I do get it but I'm just not entertained by it.

This is a strip by Fred Hembeck from 1986 and pretty much sums up Marvel's attitude to Jack kirby, the man who that company owes the most. The sad  thing is that it seems to be as relevant now as it was then.

Here is the short Marvel: One Shot featuring Agent Coulson that will be available on the Thor Blu-Ray. As I have been pretty much ignoring the bulk of Marvel comics for a good while now, let me know if the ''Consultant'' refares to anyone in particular in the Marvel Universe or is this how Hank Pym will get his introduction to the 'Avengers' franchise?

AVENGERS CHARACTER POSTERS UPDATED

Here are the individual character posters for the Avengers (which feature what I think is the first image of Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk) and going on these alone it looks like this flick is shaping up to be the one thing I wanted it to be 'super heroes being super heroic'.
