JUDGE DREDD CREATOR'S REACTION TO SEEING NEW MOVIE....
As much as I'm loving the Avengers flick and overly excited about the Dark Knight Rises for me personally the comic book movie that's really got me buzzing has got to be 'DREDD'. At times it's seemed as though this picture was never going to get a release but even though there has been a complete lack of build up (compared to other movies there hasn't been a single teaser trailer) the wait is nearly over but will it be any good? Well Judge Dredd creator John Wagner had this to say on Facebook...
"I went up to London yesterday to see the completed Dredd film. I've had reservations about certain aspects of it, and made them plain to the team at DNA. All but one of them - a little quibble at the beginning - have been addressed. And what a lot they've added. Music is on the button. SFX are excellent. Filming is impressive. I've not seen a modern 3-D movie before but I like it. I found myself reaching out trying to touch things that were dancing before my eyes. Karl is a great Dredd and Olivia gets Anderson completely. This is Dredd as it should be done - true to character, visceral, unrelentingly violent (but not off-puttingly so). It will open, I believe, sometime in September. No doubt you'll let me know what you think when you've seen it, but this has my recommendation."

SAM ROCKWELL DANCING...
No matter how cool you think you are, you are not Sam Rockwell cool....
This was part of his audition for the role of entertainer Chuck Barris in the film Confessions of a Dangerious Mind.
And even though the quality of this clip isn't the greatest this is still a quality clip (i thank you).

AKA books&comics ad (1990)
Before there was A1 Comics (now more a toy shop than a comic shop) there was AKA books & comics (which started in the much missed Virginia Galleries then moved to Parnie Street) and this is an ad for the shop from Deadline Magazine (June '90) and features art from some of it's top talent including Philip Bond's Wired World and Deadlines jewel in the crown Tank Girl by Jamie Hewlett & Alan Martin.
