The American remake of SPACED....OOFT!

Here's a clip from the 2008 American remake of 'Spaced', if your a fan of the original show (Drip Tray I'm looking at you) you'll immediately recognize this scene you'll also recognize how bad this is. Anyone with a full length copy of this would be best just skipping to the end and watching (the still excellent) original.

THE JUSTICE LEAGUE.....YOU DECIDE.

Which comic would you rather read?

THE DC REBOOT..errr...re-reboot.?

The well publicized DC Comics reboot is in full swing but at only their 4th issues there are already changes being made to the creative teams which launched the new titles. When you think that artists in the past would stay on titles for years (most notable Jack Kirby who would draw 2,3 or 4 books a month) and writers like Chris Claremont who wrote Uncanny X-MEN for 17 years these changes so soon after the DC re launch are one of the many reasons why I rarely buy DC or Marvel (who are just as bad) and if I do I generally wait a buy them out the 50p bargain bins.

Here's an article from Bleeding Cool that outlines the changes being made and thanks to Jim Smash for pointing it out.

MAN-THING sketch.

Here's a quick sketch of Marvel comics Man-Thing. Even though he is clearly nothing more than a rip off of DC's Swamp Thing his place in the history of comics is assured because of the fantastic double meaning his name gives to the titles of his books. The classic is of course the GIANT SIZED MAN-THING but WHO EVER KNOWS FEAR BURNS AT THE TOUCH OF MAN-THING deserves equal notoriety it is also worth pointing out that these titles slipped under the radar of the notoriously conservative Comics Code Authority.
And for all you Marvel Movie fans out there don't forget that along with SPIDER-MAN, X-MEN and the various AVENGERS movies Marvel also put it's MAN-THING on the big screen however it turned out to be nether big nor clever.

Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion

Evil Lyn drawing.

This is a drawing of He-Man bad gal Evil Lyn I did a few years ago for a friend. I was just starting to use Photoshop for colouring and looking at this hurts the eyes a little but we've all got to start somewhere.

With Luca$ about to squeeze out the Star Wars (in)complete Saga here is one of the many extras you won't (but should) be getting. It is the cartoon that featured in the Holiday Special which was the first appearance of Boba Fett and for that alone it should be included.
