A SKETCH a DAY: Today's word 'LEONINE'

Today's word was 'Leonine' meaning 'lion like', thought I'd go 'a little bit of politics' with it then realized that I mixed up the Lion with the Tin-Man, serves me right for getting all clever clever.

Bill Drummond Interview

Best known for his work with the KLF, Bill Drummond for what ever reason (whether through his on choice or not) is one of the most criminally underrated and under used, culturally important figures alive today.
Click here for a cracking article on the KLF.

'Time, Place and Occasion'...

And here is the time KLF played at the 1992 Brit awards with the band Extreme Noise Terror, at the end of their performance Drummond fired a machine gun loaded with blanks into the crowd, for which he is still awaiting  a much deserved knighthood, come on Lizzie pull the finger out you know it makes sense.

The SCHEME COMIX CUT OUT AND KEEP HALLOWEEN ZOMBIE MASK.

Hey kids, scare your friends and mildly amuse 8 year olds with the SCHEME COMIX cut out and keep Zombie Mask. It's 'TERROR-IFIC!'

Pop Will Eat Itself : Def Con One

WATCH OUT KIDS LUCA$ IS AT IT AGAIN.........

Here is the poster for the (the gods help us) re-release of the Phantom Menace in 3D. If ever there was a film that never needed to re-released it's this (along with all the other reworked Luca$ turds). I have to admit that a small part of me feels sorry for all the actors who just when they where starting to shrug off the stigma of being part of these truly awful movies will now have to dodge a whole new barrage of blaster fire and awkward questions on talk shows as they're trying to promote there new more worthy (?) cinematic efforts.
But my true sympathies lye with the poor souls who ran out and snapped up the 'Complete Saga' (again '?,) box set for £70+ only for uncle George to release the 3D versions a month or so later. The Luca$ muggings continue and until the fans who continue to line this charlatans pockets stop falling for his Jedi mind tricks the real legacy of Star Wars will be more 'Sith' than 'Jedi'.

SCHEME COMIX 24 HOUR COMIC: 'IO, IL NON EROICO'

I recently took part in a 24 hour comic challenge organized by the guys at 'Cosmic Designs'  with the help of the excellent Plan B Books. Based on an idea by the artist Scott McCloud the rules are that you sit down and draw a 24 page comic in 24 hours with absolutely no preparation, everything including the story has to be made up on the spot. For my effort I decided to do a story that became a 'Fantasy /Spaghetti Western (which I later titled 'Io, Il Non Eroico'). The finnished art it has to be said is ropy at best, the writing is all over the place and the spelling is best not mentioned but I really enjoyed doing it and highly recommend it to everyone.
Let me know what you think.
